The Executive Office plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs’ corporate strategy, and in preserving the firm’s distinctive culture. We are responsible for safeguarding the firm’s relationship with alumni, clients, shareholders, policy makers, and the broader public, while ensuring that our own people remain informed about the firm’s evolving priorities. We also partner with the businesses to source high-impact opportunities in line with the firm’s social and sustainability agendas.

The Office of Government and Regulatory Affairs

The Office of Government and Regulatory Affairs (OGRA) which sits within the Goldman Sachs Executive Office, plays an integral role in setting and advancing Goldman Sachs’ public policy and advocacy strategy. It promotes constructive relations with governments and regulators, and responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive regulatory and legislative advocacy strategy and public policy agenda to benefit the firm. A global group, the OGRA develops and manages relationships with key national and international regulatory and legislative officials, and manages Goldman Sachs participation in advocacy-oriented efforts, among other things. The OGRA has an integrated regulatory and legislative function.

Role Description

The OGRA is hiring in London. This role is for a full time assistant to support OGRA in EMEA.

Duties

1. Proactive diary management
2. Arranging travel; organizing and providing detailed travel schedules
3. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to organize client meetings and full trip agendas
4. Processing expenses and invoices in a timely manner
5. Arranging internal and client meetings and events on and off the GS campus - booking of venues, conference rooms and catering, registering guests, ensuring materials organized
6. Adhering to Compliance regulations and gaining the relevant approvals
7. General team admin including photocopying, printing, attendance tracking, phone answering and relaying messages
8. Efficiently coordinating office-wide administrative processes with internal and external parties
9. Acting as an integral member of the team; maintaining a high level of awareness of current priorities and support required
10. Regularly facilitate knowledge sharing within the team and ensure relevant information is disseminated accordingly
11. Flexibility to support assistant colleagues and cover when necessary
12. Five days a week in office

Skills & Experience required

13. Prior experience as an assistant, or in an administrative and/or customer service role
14. Solid organizational skills – ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
15. Strong attention to detail
16. Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork; ability and willingness to work collaboratively within local, regional and global assistant team
17. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and confidently
18. Proactivity – ability to take initiative, follow up where necessary without prompting and seek clarification when needed
19. Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and growth mindset
20. Ability to work well under pressure and stay professional in a busy environment
21. Discretion – ability to handle sensitive matters confidentially at all times
22. Microsoft Office / M365 skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)
