Job Summary
We have an exciting, and incredibly rare, opportunity for someone creative to join us while we are on the crest of a wave.
Ealing Council’s social media channels are now up among the best performing in UK local government. They are admired, commented on, and even copied by others (we’re flattered).
We are working hard to make everyday things connect with our audiences – subjects that might otherwise be seen as boring.
From potholes to fly‑tipping, our creative content is regularly going viral, with millions of views – involving a bit of dubstep, Olivia Dean, and explosions (not literally).
And now we want a social media manager who fancies the challenge of giving us even more aura. Can you produce banging, but informative and entertaining social media content for things as diverse as bins, bikes and beavers? Or tell stories in different ways so they work equally well on Insta, TikTok, Facebook and beyond…?
Can you engage our residents and build on our growing relationship with our followers?
If you have answered ‘yes’ to most of the above, then we'd love to hear from you.
We want to make an appointment as soon as possible and can’t wait to add someone great to our team.
Equality and Inclusion

Please note all applications will be determined on merit.
This post is subject to Ealing's enhanced vetting process.
This role is deemed customer facing and as such you must have a command of spoken English which is sufficient to enable you to effectively perform the role. This requirement relates to Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
Closing date for applications: Monday 18 May 2026
