Salary & Hours
£46,041 – £48,472 per annum (inclusive of 7.5% market supplement)
Standard: 37 hours per week. Part‑time (30 hours) available.
Role Overview
An Investigating Manager who oversees all aspects of Section 42 enquiries concerning adults at risk. You will set actions, agree on minutes, maintain oversight of investigations from start to finish, and for complex cases act as Investigating Officer.
Responsibilities
* Oversee all aspects of Section 42 enquiries involving adults at risk.
* Set actions, agree on minutes and maintain oversight of investigations from start to finish.
* Act as Investigating Officer for complex investigations involving care homes or hospital wards.
* Monitor safeguarding process to ensure it is adequately completed and outcomes are actioned appropriately.
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience in a social care setting.
* Degree in Social Work and registration with Social Work England.
* Extensive professional development since qualifying.
* Substantial experience of case work with adults in a community health setting.
* Leading safeguarding investigations with expert knowledge of social care legislation and policies relating to safeguarding of adults at risk.
