One day you could be liaising with one of the world's largest airframers, and the next, some of the biggest airline brands around the world In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England. The purpose of this role is to create and maintain robust cost for manufactured parts to support the Aftermarket Business. To review BOM's and routings to collate accurate costs in order to maintain gross margin for the aftermarket business. Key Responsibilities: Use in house systems to produce robust costs for manufactured parts. Extract bills of materials (BOMs) from Baan data, verify and check routings. Confirm treatment costs and availability of tooling. Liaise with the Engineering team to ensure good housekeeping of BOM's and routes. Raise internal RFQ's to obtain valid prices for purchased parts via the Strategic Purchasing team. Identify risk elements i.e. signal codes, tooling costs etc. to minimise the business risk. Liaise with the relevant departments to obtain information for accurate costings. Support AOG costings and warranty SB kits. Analyze the make versus buy option to maximise in house production capabilities. Support or participate in any relevant project work. Report weekly on RFQ TAT and monitor KPI's. Control and report on the progress of costings of legacy part numbers.
