THE ROLE:
* Working as part of the visual marketing team, to ensure a commercial and on brand shopping experience is communicated and the delivery of that experience is supported through establishment and maintenance of VM principles and best practice.
* To work alongside the design team on getting the feeling for the season
* To react to trade and seek opportunities to develop the brand positioning of these departments to ensure customer engagement and commercial gain.
* Deputising for the Senior Visual Merchandising Manager
* Dress and set styling guidelines for retail: windows, The Look, and instore.
* Deliver styling across all categories and sub-brands: Women's, 915 & Men's

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
* Defining principles and best practice which will drive both brand look and feel, as well as commercial benefit to the business
* Drive the customer experience across all store concepts/sizes with a considered and adaptable strategy to work to varied stock packages / levels
* Working alongside the BMD teams to ensure that the product strategy is understood and develop commercial on-point styling across all of retail
* Always be on the pulse and adapt the Creative Directors vision for the season into mannequin story telling
* Deliver an on brand styling identity
* Support the multi channel stylists on seasonal shoots
* Delivery of all required communications – seasonal guidance, model store packs, weekly updates and principal packs
* Strong interpersonal skills – role needs to work alongside/collaborate with numerous functions
* Ensure consistent VM messaging and comms are routinely issued on time.
* Engage the field VM team and retail partners, to understand the market and local opportunities
* Regularly obtain feedback on strategy, communications delivered, and output gained with retail partners, to continue to develop the VM strategy
* Work alongside the field VM team to implement the seasonal styling strategy andprovide best practice communication via Model Store
* React to trade / commercial opportunities to strengthen product positioning and provide guidance to maximise opportunities
* Remain aware of competitor activity to ensure New Look remains current and reactive to customer needs carrying out regular comp shops – summarising key opportunities / actions.
* Support Senior Visual Manager and wider field team through leading by example and illustrating high standard of behaviours
* A deep understanding of product knowledge, key product stories and trends by staying up to date with BMD.
* Review store execution to ensure it is consistent and showcasing the product correctly.
* Work with the VM team to ensure windows and The Look space aligns to the seasonal VM directive and mannequins are styled in line with the brand direction
* Partner with the Brand Marketing team to develop and align the Window and Look timing and content within the Customer Calendar
* Own Window and The Look guidelines and communications for stores – developing new formats to engage retail teams – training, workshops, videos, best practice
* Develop and cascade styling training needs to Retail, supported by the VM team
* Align VM styling requirements and timings to the Master CP to align the complete customer journey
* Develop plans and strategies that consider new opportunities based on market and store profile
* Partner with the Senior Head Of Design to plan, agree, select and sign off all styling outputs
* Collaborate with window reps, BMD Product Styling Manager to coordinate all product requirements
WHO YOU ARE:
* At least 2 yrs experience within Visual Merchandising/styling experience at junior Management level.
* Proven track record of experience within fashion retail, ideally within a high street retailer.
* Proven across VM, windows and styling.
* Proven working alongside buying, merchandising and design teams.
* Fashion retail experience, across multiple categories.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Proven influencer at all levels throughout the business.
* Can present and pitch ideas, lead retail walk throughs and retail engagement.
* Strong leadership skills.
* Team player, ability to collaborate and work alongside peer group.
* Agility, flexibility and work with pace.
* Commercial acumen.
* Multi-channel focussed.
* Customer focussed
* Must be able to use Indesign, Photoshop, Powerpoint and Excel. Knowledge of 3D software is an advantage
