Pro Rata Salary: £21,981.89 – £23,665.74 (£36,148 – £38,917 FTE)

Are you ready to shape the next generation of skilled electricians? An Ofsted-rated Good Further Education College in Berkshire is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Electrical Installations Technical Skills Coach to manage and support a caseload of apprentices.
About the Role
This is a rewarding hybrid role combining both teaching and assessing. You’ll deliver training and assess Electrical Installations apprentices both in college and at their workplaces. You’ll guide learners through their qualifications, monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and ensure each apprentice is fully prepared for their End Point Assessment (EPA).
You’ll take an active role in promoting and maintaining high standards of health and safety during site visits and in the workshop. As part of the wider team, you’ll build strong relationships with employers, learners, and colleagues to ensure apprenticeships deliver real impact for local industry.
Key Details:
Hours: Part time – 22.5 hours per week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 8am–4pm).
Contract: 1-year fixed-term, eligible for Levelling Up funding.
Benefits: 30 days annual leave (FTE) plus bank holidays and Christmas closure. What We’re Looking For
A time-served, fully qualified electrician.
You must either have or be willing to work towards and Assessors Qualification.
AM2 qualification, 18th Edition, and Level 3 Electrical Installations as a minimum with 2391 Test and inspect/ JIB gold card highly desirable.
Previous experience working with/ mentoring apprentices is highly desirable.
Excellent understanding of health and safety on site.
Strong organisational and communication skills.
Full clean driving licence and access to a car.
