The Senior IT Developer is responsible for developing and maintaining IT solutions, including low-level solution design, within their designated area. Specialising in one or more technology areas, such as .NET, they will adopt the AA’s chosen delivery methodology to ensure the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective solutions. They will also exemplify delivery excellence for junior team members and partner resources, offering technical guidance and reviews while continuously striving for process improvement.
What will I be doing?
* Collaborating with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements and design high-quality technical solutions
* Providing and challenging delivery estimates for changes and projects
* Delivering functionality that meets requirements within timescales and budget, including unit test case definition and execution
* Providing Level 3 Application Support, including out-of-hours support when necessary
* Ensuring solutions comply with architectural standards and coding standards, recommending new or reused code as appropriate
* Modelling best practices and supporting junior team members, consistently exceeding development KPIs
* Leading code reviews, identifying repeating issues, and developing mitigation strategies
* Creating technical documentation in line with SDLC and documentation standards
* Leading Continuous Integration delivery in an Agile environment using Azure DevOps/VSTS/TFS
* Identifying and reporting on Key Performance Indicators for Waterfall and Agile teams
