Your Impact
* Lead a high-performing PMO team integrated into operations, focused on governance and delivery across a dynamic portfolio. Ensure projects—from fleet upgrades to depot modernization—meet safety, performance, and commercial expectations.
* Develop a project delivery framework aligned with strategic goals and customer priorities. Embed best practices in tools and methodologies to enhance consistency, risk management, financial oversight, and resource planning.
* Build strong relationships across matrix teams—engineering, commercial, operations, and central PMO—and provide visible leadership. Flexibility to travel across the UK will be essential to make a tangible impact on the ground.
What We’re Looking For
* Extensive experience in project or programme management, ideally leading complex, multi-disciplinary projects in operational or service environments.
* Proven ability to manage commercial risks, project financials, and delivery outcomes across multiple workstreams.
* Confidence working within matrix organizations, aligning diverse teams and managing stakeholder priorities.
* No prior rail industry experience required, but a willingness to quickly learn about depot environments, fleet requirements, and customer expectations is essential.
* Leadership style that fosters capability, trust, clarity under pressure, and promotes safety, consistency, and accountability.
* Certification or familiarity with structured project methodologies and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement.
