About the Role
Families Together is a relatively new team that are supporting young people and their families to prevent where possible them coming into care. We have 1 post available and the person we are looking for will use an approach which builds on strengths of the child/young person and family and who is willing to provide a speedy response to the family at crisis point. They need to be open and honest whilst also using trauma informed approaches. The person we are looking for is passionate about strengthening family relationships and looking at their network of support. The person needs to be able to support the Social Worker in addressing the needs of the family and work alongside the family in achieving the ultimate goal of keeping them together.
A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.

About You
To apply for this post, you must have:
1. NNEB/BTEC/NVQ level 3 in relevant child care subject. Degree in relevant discipline NVQ Level 4 in relevant subject or equivalent
2. Attachment, Trauma based practice and other relevant models
3. Understanding of the Signs of Safety Methodology and evidence-based practice
4. An understanding Childcare legislation, Safeguarding procedures, policies and procedures
5. The needs of older children on the cusp of care and knowledge/skills in managing family breakdown.
6. Able to produce clear, accurate records and reports
7. Time management skills and able to respond flexibly to changing requirements
