About the Role
This is a varied and hands-on position where you will be involved across accounts, tax and audit work. Responsibilities will include:
1. Preparing statutory and annual accounts for a varied client base including SMEs and limited companies
2. Preparing draft corporation tax computations and CT600 returns
3. Producing year end accounting files with supporting schedules for balance sheet figures
4. Assisting with the planning and execution of audit assignments from start to completion
5. Performing risk assessments and testing key controls
6. Reviewing the work of junior team members and providing guidance and support
7. Reporting audit findings and drafting management letters
8. Delivering ad-hoc advisory services as required
9. Maintaining and building strong professional relationships with clients
10. Managing client expectations and delivering work within agreed deadlines
11. Supporting Partners and Managers with their client portfolios
12. Ensuring compliance with professional standards and internal procedures
13. Contributing to the improvement of internal processes and efficient working practices
