The Role
Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Resource Assistant to support our Construction Department on a casual basis. This vital role focuses on maintaining and managing equipment and resources within the curriculum area, contributing to a high-quality learning environment for students and supporting the continued success of our department in delivering outstanding education in construction trades and skills.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
As a key member of the Construction team, your primary responsibilities are to ensure the smooth operation of resources and equipment essential for our teaching and training activities. Specific duties include:
2. Maintaining equipment and resources to ensure they are in optimal working order, and efficiency.
3. Managing and organising stock, including receiving, checking, and storing materials and equipment.
4. Preparing materials and equipment for teaching sessions to support effective learning.
5. Providing practical assistance to students during workshops, guided by lecturers and specialist practitioners.
6. Supporting the security and cleanliness of equipment and learning spaces, emphasising Health and Safety practices.
