We think you’ll like it too. The Role: As the range of projects that we work on grow, so does our team! We are currently looking to hire a software focussed Project Manager in our R&D department at our coastal office in Weymouth. Do you love working in a fun, forward-thinking environment? Then join us at ASMPT! In this role, the Project Manager manages the development of technical projects, within time, cost, and quality constraints. Managing risks and issues and solving complex topics associated with the development of technical solutions. You Will, Empower and inspire others to deliver successful software projects by providing vision, direction, feedback and support, so that people can do their best work. Manage the process of quality assurance for projects, to confirm the consistent application of procedures and standards Capture lessons learned to contribute to continuous improvement. Develop and maintain schedules that show when work for a project is planned to be performed. Considering any dependencies for internal and external resources and activities. Prepare a schedule for resource use, reconciling resource limits and time constraints by applying resource smoothing and/or levelling. Estimate the Costs, the setting of an agreed budget and management of actual and forecast cost against the budget. Identify and monitor risks (threats and opportunities); to plan and implement responses to those risks and respond to issues that arise. Determine who needs to be engaged with and influenced ensuring the exchange of relevant and timely information to support the successful delivery of the project and inform decision making. Manage the development of technological solutions to unusual or challenging problems, and/or dealing with complex technical issues or situations with significant levels of risk. Lead teams or technical specialists and assist others to meet changing technical and managerial needs. Clearly present and discuss project proposals, justifications, and conclusions. Understand and comply with relevant codes of conduct, complying with ASMPT policies including ethics, bribery and corruption and compliance. Carry out and record the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to maintain and enhance competence in own area of practice. About You: We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team! A person who is comfortable working both individually and as part of a team. You Will Have: Bachelor’s Degree with honours / equivalent level 6 qualification with senior level experience, OR Chartered Project Manager with mid-level experience, OR comparable specialist knowledge with a senior level of professional experience. Hold membership of a recognised professional project management qualification at IPMA Level D or above, e.g. UK Association for Project Management (APM), PRINCE 2 qualified. Proven experience of delivering projects in a modern engineering / manufacturing and service environment. The ability to operate in a dynamic and agile working environment and be part of a collaborative project team. Competent in Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge of SAP (Desirable). Knowledge of the Product Lifecycle Management and change management processes (Desirable).
