About The Role FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Platform Engineer to work for our consultancy partner. This is initially a 6-month contract with good prospects to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Leeds or London. Responsibilities: Manage and maintain AWS environments, ensuring reliability and scalability. Design, implement, and manage infrastructure using Terraform. Develop automation scripts and tooling in Python to streamline deployments and operations. Support deployment life cycles and ensure smooth delivery of releases. Participate in a rota system for live service support (08:00–18:00, Monday–Friday). Collaborate with development teams and stakeholders to resolve platform-related issues quickly. Contribute to planning and execution for major releases and infrastructure improvements. About You Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Terraform, and Python. Proven ability to manage cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. Solid understanding of platform engineering principles and DevOps practices. Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and team collaboration. SC clearance (or SC-clearable) is required. Experience working within NHS or similar regulated environments. (Desirable) Familiarity with release planning and supporting critical project milestones. (Desirable) London based candidates will be required to attend the Leeds office twice a month.
