Job Description / Responsibility
A Cake Decorator / Bakery Manufacturer** creates visually appealing, high-quality cakes and desserts for customers, including custom designs for birthdays, weddings, and special events. The role offered by Equilibria UK Ltd requires creativity, attention to detail, and strong knowledge of decorating techniques such as fondant work, icing, piping, sculpting, and sugar craft.
Key Responsibilities:
* Decorate cakes using icing, buttercream, ganache, fondant, royal icing, and other materials.
* Create custom designs based on customer requests, sketches, or sample images.
* Sculpt and shape cakes into 2D or 3D designs.
* ]Pipe messages, names, and intricate patterns with precision.
* Prepare decorations such as sugar flowers, edible toppers, figurines, and chocolate décor.
Kitchen & Production Support:
* Assist with baking cakes, preparing frosting, and assembling layers.
* Ensure cakes are levelled, filled, and crumb-coated properly before decoration.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workstation.
* Monitor inventory of decorating tools and ingredients; request restocking

Educational Requirements
* Bachelor/Honors

Additional Requirements
* Strong artistic ability and creativity.
* Good knowledge of cake decorating techniques (fondant, piping, sculpting).
* Steady hand and excellent attention to detail.
* Time-management skills for handling multiple orders.
* Ability to work under pressure, especially during peak seasons.
* Experience working in a bakery, pastry shop, or cake studio.* Portfolio of previous cake designs.
* Basic baking knowledge.
* Food Safety/Hygiene certification (varies by country).
