The Commercial Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies and plans to meet the company's objectives. They will work closely with internal departments to identify and assess potential commercial opportunities and manage ongoing external relationships.
The Role
* Lead and manage internal and external sales teams, providing coaching, guidance, and performance evaluations to ensure team success.
* Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
* Address customer concerns and collaborate with teams to provide solutions.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize commercial processes, mitigate risks, and enhance overall business performance.
* Lead negotiations with clients, partners, and suppliers to secure favorable terms, conditions, and pricing.
* Monitor performance and optimize commercial opportunities.
* Collaborate with internal teams to identify and engage with multiple stakeholders.
* Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets.
* Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and customers.
* Determine pricing strategies that balance profitability with market competitiveness.
* Lead contract negotiations with clients to ensure favorable terms for the company.
* Monitor product performance, analyze customer feedback, and recommend improvements or new offerings.
* Develop and manage budgets related to sales, marketing, and business development activities.
* Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and take corrective actions as needed.
* Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional campaigns and marketing materials aligned with sales strategies.
* Develop sales forecasts and demand plans to guide production and inventory management.
* Analyze market trends and historical data for accurate predictions.
* Identify and mitigate potential risks related to contracts, regulations, and operations.
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
* Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and business development activities.
* Provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, supply chain, and finance, to ensure smooth operations and alignment.
The Person
* Experience in the commercial industry within a high-volume electro-mechanical sector or related market.
* Senior commercial management experience.
* Excellent man-management and leadership skills.
* Strong relationship management with commercial acumen.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to see the bigger picture.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Ability to manage and develop teams.

Package on offer: £75K-80K salary plus bonus.
