Overview
This advert is for a full time (37.5 hours) Band 6 Gynaecology Oncology Clinical Nurse Specialist. Working hours are Monday - Friday during office hours and will be a cross site role.
Do you aspire to make patients cancer care experience a better one? Do you have experience in Gynaecology or Oncology, and are you looking for a new challenge? We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join the gynaecology oncology nurse specialist team working across site with the wider multidisciplinary team. We support patients and their families through their cancer journey, starting at the point of referral as a suspected cancer, right through to cancer diagnosis and additional treatments. Treatments can include preparation for surgery, surgery and recovery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Gynaecology or Oncology nursing experience at band 6 would be preferable. You will need to be flexible, reliable and patient focused. The Women and Children\'s Business Unit is proactive in developing a culture that delivers optimum care and support for out patients. The Gynaecology Clinical Nurse Specialists and wider team will provide guidance and support for the successful candidate and work closely together to implement this. The successful candidate will receive a full induction and a supervisory period.
