SEND Learning Support Assistant - Havant
Contract: Full time - ASAP start
Salary: £82.20 - £100 per day
Responsibilities
* Supporting students on a 1:1 basis or in small groups, under the guidance of class teachers and the SENCO
* Helping to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies
* Creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment
* Working collaboratively with teaching staff, parents/carers, and external professionals
* Encouraging independence, confidence and communication skills in learners
Qualifications & Skills
* Has experience working with children with SEND (particularly ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech & language needs)
* Is patient, empathetic and resilient with a strong sense of humour
* Communicates clearly and effectively
* Can work flexibly and adapt to the needs of individual pupil
* Hold classroom support qualifications (desirable)
