We are looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a warm, supportive and highly respected specialist provision in Wimborne, working with pupils aged 3 to 18. As an HLTA, you will take on increased responsibility within both primary and secondary classes. You will support teachers, lead small groups and occasionally deliver sessions, helping pupils engage with learning in a safe and structured environment. This full-time role offers an immediate start and the chance to contribute to a setting where every achievement is celebrated.
Your Responsibilities
* Lead small-group activities and deliver planned lessons when required
* Support teachers with classroom preparation, resources and assessment
* Build trusting, positive relationships with pupils
* Encourage independence, emotional wellbeing and social development
* Maintain a calm, consistent and encouraging learning environment
* Work collaboratively with teachers, leaders and wider support teams
Requirements
* Minimum of 6 months’ childcare or education experience, particularly with SEN needs
* Confident in leading learning and supporting a range of ages
* Patient, resilient and adaptable, with strong communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
