What you’ll be doing
•Carrying out planned and proactive maintenance activities on operational instrumentation and controls systems to improve process compliance, reliability, and performance
•Providing timely response to operational issues, performing onsite analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of complex problems
·Working collaboratively with a range of operational teams such as mechanical, and electrical technicians to prioritise work and coordinate the delivery of maintenance activities
•Use industrial control, instrumentation, and technical knowledge, working with operational functions to provide recommendations for process optimisation, improvements, and efficiencies.
•Assisting the ICA Manager with root causes of plant failure and/or sub optimal performance and take ownership of resolution
•Mentoring apprentices, supervising contractors, and championing engineering excellence.
•Playing your part in a standby rota to provide 24/7 technical resilience for our customers.

What we’re looking for
* A BTEC Diploma (or equivalent) in a technical discipline, or a time-served apprenticeship. Preferably instrumentation or electrical background
* 2+ years’ experience in SCADA/control systems (water or similar process industry preferred).
* Confident with Windows OS & Microsoft Office tools.
* Familiarity with telemetry, PLCs, industrial comms, or distributed control systems.
* A clean UK driving licence and readiness to travel between sites.
* Above all: a self-starter who thrives on autonomy and problem-solving.
