KION ITS UK has a great opportunity for a Payroll Advisor to join our team at our Head Office in Basingstoke.

The role will have responsibility for effectively and efficiently processing monthly UK payrolls. As an experienced Payroll Advisor you will play a key role in ensuring a comprehensive payroll service.

We offer:

1. Process the company’s UK payrolls ensuring statutory and contractual compliance in all payroll processes.

2. Work in accordance with the payroll software provider’s managed service processes and deadlines

3. Liaise closely with HR colleagues to accurately input payroll data to the payroll system, including data for starters and leavers, absence, statutory leave, earnings and deductions, fixed and variable.

4. Accurately calculate ad hoc payments for manual input to payroll system.

5. Collate and check the data interface files from the HR system to be forwarded to payroll software provider.

6. Review and check payroll system output reports, liaising, when necessary, with the Payroll Team regarding any corrections required.

7. Produce pay period, annual and ad hoc payroll reports and information for the business as required.

8. Ensure pension member information, held by the company’s pension providers is kept up to date. To administer pension member changes, such as starters, leavers, pensionable salary and contribution information in accordance with scheme rules and statutory deadlines.

9. Administer the company’s employee benefits, such as private medical insurance, childcare voucher and the share schemes.

10. Complete HMRC, Jury Service, Court Order and Loss of Earnings forms when required.

11. Assist in the preparation information and reports for internal and external payroll audits.

12. Assist and support colleagues throughout the company to resolve payroll and company benefit queries.

Tasks and Qualifications:

13. Good knowledge of ‘end to end’ payroll processing

14. Up to date knowledge of payroll legislation

15. Computer literate with Microsoft Excel and Word experience

16. Ability to work to deadlines

17. Accurate data entry skills

18. Good written and oral communication skills

19. Professional and confidential manner
