Overview
We are looking for a Senior Children's Home Support Worker to join our Residential team at The Sycamores in Stafford. In this role you will build positive and trusting relationships with young people in a supportive and nurturing home environment, empowering them to flourish and grow.

The Sycamores – Stafford
Compensation
£35,848 – £38,028 per year (including 10 sleeps per month paid at £60 per sleep and an hourly rate of £13.80 to £15.45 per hour depending on qualification). Opportunities to pick up overtime at an enhanced rate.
Hours
173 hours per month with a shift pattern of 2 days on, 4 days off, with sleep ins. Rotas are given in advance and the service operates 365 days a year.
Essential Requirements
* A minimum of 12 months experience in a children's residential care home
* Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare
* A full driving licence issued in the UK
* Full right to work in the UK with no restrictions
* In‑depth knowledge of Ofsted regulations, expectations and best practice
* Values in line with Esland’s, such as a therapeutic, person‑centred approach to childcare
* Age 21 or older

Responsibilities
The role involves providing crisis intervention and trauma‑informed therapeutic care within a beautiful solo home set in South Staffordshire. Responsibilities include delivering high‑quality care and support for young people’s educational, emotional and personal development, engaging them in relevant hobbies and interests, and ensuring all needs are met fairly and equitably. Successful employment requires a satisfactory Full Enhanced Disclosure, right to work and reference checks.
