Job Title: School Site Manager
Location: Alvaston
Pay: £17 - £19.50 per hour
Contract: Full Time - Long Term Sickness Cover
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced School Site Manager to join a school in Alvaston, Derby, providing long-term sickness cover. This is a key role within the school, responsible for ensuring the site is safe, secure, and well maintained for students, staff, and visitors.

The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day management of the school premises and support the smooth running of the site.

Key Responsibilities

* Opening and securing the school site each day

* Managing the maintenance and upkeep of the school buildings and grounds

* Carrying out general repairs and maintenance tasks

* Ensuring the site complies with health and safety regulations

* Conducting routine safety checks and maintaining site records

* Liaising with contractors and overseeing works on site

* Supporting with deliveries, furniture moves, and room setups

* Ensuring the school environment remains clean, safe, and fully operational

What We're Looking For

* Previous site manager, caretaker, or facilities management experience, ideally within a school environment

* IOSH qualification preferred

* Relevant health and safety training and knowledge of compliance procedures

* Strong practical maintenance and DIY skills

* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

* A proactive and reliable approach

* An enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to obtain one

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
