Position: Sales Manager
Location: Studio Based (London)
Salary: £60k OTE (£40k Basic + Bonus)
Role Overview:
The Sales Manager at Stretch LAB will drive exceptional sales performance, oversee retail operations, manage all studio memberships, and lead the recruitment and training of the reception team. This dynamic role demands a results-driven, highly motivated leader who thrives in client-facing environments, energises their team, and consistently capitalises on every sales opportunity, ultimately enhancing client loyalty and studio profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Member Engagement:
* Drive studio sales by maximising service and revenue performance, ensuring a positive Net Member Movement.
* Strategically manage all studio memberships, ensuring optimal retention, growth, and member satisfaction
* Supervise reception team activities, ensuring personalised client interactions and maximised upselling and repeat bookings.
* Regularly evaluate sales trends and performance, adjusting strategies and processes to ensure continuous improvement.
Lead Generation and Conversion:
* Identify and capitalise on new lead-generation opportunities, including corporate partnerships and community engagement.
* Execute targeted sales plans, proactively managing appointments and converting leads into quality, loyal Stretch LAB members.
Recruitment, Training, and Development:
* Lead the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing training of reception staff, ensuring each team member excels in customer engagement and sales.
* Hold regular coaching sessions and meetings to develop skills, address performance gaps, and motivate the team toward achieving ambitious sales targets.
Operational Excellence:
* Uphold the highest standards of operational efficiency and customer service within reception and studio areas.
* Ensure consistency in client experiences, cleanliness, and overall studio presentation.
Duty Management:
* Assume Duty Manager responsibilities in the absence of the General Manager or other department heads, maintaining studio standards, safety compliance, and operational excellence.
* Clearly communicate team responsibilities and maintain consistent adherence to studio procedures, including opening/closing duties.
* Be prepared to step in and be customer-facing on reception as part of driving studio sales, as well as in the event of last-minute sickness or the need for emergency cover.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Extensive sales management and retail operations experience, ideally within fitness, wellness, or a related industry.
* Proven track record in recruitment, training, and team leadership.
* Exceptional interpersonal, motivational, and communication skills.
* Experience managing memberships, client retention, and strategic sales initiatives.
* High-energy approach and the flexibility to manage multiple studio responsibilities effectively.
* Experience creating and implementing CRM strategies with proven success.
