Introduction & Background
Lockerbie Old School SCIO is a community-led charity that has secured full capital funding to redevelop the Old School building into a vibrant, inclusive community hub in the heart of Lockerbie.
We are now entering an exciting transitional stage: with the construction phase nearing completion, we are preparing for the fit-out and operational launch of the space. This post will play a pivotal role in helping us bring the building into use — coordinating the final setup, hiring processes, community engagement, and the systems needed to open and sustain the facility.
Significant revenue funding has been secured to support the project through the next year, and we expect to sustain this role going forward through a combination of trading income and future grant applications.
This post is funded in part by The Holywood Trust, with additional support from the Scottish Government, Dumfries & Galloway Council, South of Scotland Enterprise, and local windfarm funding partners. Lockerbie Old School gratefully acknowledges their support.
