We’re looking for a skilled and committed Approved Mental Health Professional to join our Adult Mental Health Team, working alongside social workers, social care officers, and health professionals to deliver safe, effective, and person-centred interventions.

Why This Role Matters
* As an AMHP, you’ll play a critical role in safeguarding rights and ensuring lawful, ethical practice under the Mental Health Act. You’ll work collaboratively with colleagues across Adult Social Care, the NHS, and partner organisations, making complex decisions that balance risk, autonomy, and wellbeing.
What You’ll Do
* Undertake Mental Health Act assessments and coordinate applications for admission
* Provide expert advice on mental health legislation and best practice
* Work closely with individuals, families, and multi-agency partners to ensure safe, proportionate interventions
* Contribute to service development and continuous improvement
* Promote recovery-focused, rights-based practice
What We’re Looking For
* Approved Mental Health Professional status and Social Work England registration
* Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act, and Care Act
* Experience in complex case management and multi-agency working
* Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and person-centred care
