Repair Support Engineer – GE Aerospace
We are seeking a talented Repair Support Engineer to join the Product Support Engineering Team at GE Aerospace in Worcester, England. This role is focused on resolving engineering issues that impact the repair shop and driving solutions to closure.
Role Summary
The Product Support Engineering Team is responsible for resolving engineering issues impacting the repair shop. As a Repair Support Engineer you will be part of a product team expected to support and own a variety of tasks, coordinate with different engineering teams across the business, and drive the engineering solution to closure. You will also support the workshop to ensure daily and weekly output targets are achieved.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Repair Method Planning: Publish and maintain documents defining methods and techniques for repair and modification of equipment.
* Spares, Materials & Equipment Planning: Identify and plan capacity for materials and spares for new equipment repairs, modification and conversion programmes.
* Technical Assistance: Provide technical support to the repairs shop and other customer service departments worldwide, including fault diagnosis, technical guidance, circuit operation guidance, obsolescence investigation, and technical information.
* Technical Liaison: Work closely with OEM engineering, manufacturing, quality, suppliers, subcontractors and customers when appropriate.
Required Qualifications

* Experience/knowledge of hardware and/or software.
* Electrical/Electronic qualification (minimum HNC or equivalent).

* AutoCAD knowledge/experience.
* Education to degree level preferable or demonstrated experience.
Desired Characteristics
* EASA Part 145 awareness.
* Demonstrated experience in a similar manufacturing/repair support role.
* Appreciation/knowledge of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE).

Additional Information
Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance is required and must be maintained for this role. If BPSS clearance cannot be obtained, the role may not be eligible for you and any offer of employment may be withdrawn on grounds of national security.
