Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transport Manager to oversee our logistics operations. Responsibilities
* Manage and supervise the transport team, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
* Develop and implement logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
* Coordinate the movement of goods, ensuring timely delivery while maintaining high standards of customer service.
* Oversee the maintenance and operation of transport vehicles, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
* Utilise Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other IT systems for reporting and communication purposes.
* Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and manage budgets effectively.
* Foster strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
* Provide training and support to team members to develop their skills in driving, logistics, and customer service.
Experience
* Proven experience in a management role within the transport or logistics sector.
* Strong understanding of supply chain processes and transport regulations.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential for reporting and data management.
* Demonstrated leadership abilities with a focus on team development and motivation.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
