Responsibilities
This vacancy in Paediatric Emergency Medicine is a hybrid role split between the Paediatric Ward (B11), Paediatric Outpatients and the Paediatric Emergency Department at Warrington and Halton NHS Foundation Teaching Trust. Currently the job is a late shift and a day shift on Paeds ED, six clinics per month and paediatric Consultant of the Week two to three times per year.
When not undertaking clinical shifts a PED Consultant would undertake their SPA in our new bespoke offices, adjacent to two new training rooms and an ED Simulation suite. Teaching also occurs in the department with the RCEM Clinical Educator Role, as well as supervising medical and Physician Associate undergraduates, Foundation doctors, GPST and EM HST trainees. We are developing an ACP training school, with new starters in Acute Medicine from February, with ED posts starting in late 2023.
