NB: Roles require working regular unsociable hours, which attract premium pay rates in addition to the advertised salary.
* Monday to Friday: 7pm to 8am with a 30% premium
* Weekend: 8am Saturday – 8am Monday with a 50% premium
* Public/Bank Holidays: 8am to 8am with a 50% premium; time off in lieu is also available
Job Overview
The job involves providing 24-hour coverage at an Approved Premises, including security and monitoring. Responsibilities include supporting residents, contributing to risk management and sentence plan objectives, and reporting significant changes related to risk or re-offending to ensure safety and security.
Summary
The role includes assisting with residents' well-being and supervision, maintaining discipline, adhering to rules and conditions, and managing risk. It involves substantial out-of-hours work, including night shifts and weekends. The post may require covering other premises during staff absences.

Responsibilities, Activities & Duties
* Contribute to effective team practice and communicate effectively with colleagues
* Communicate key risk issues during handovers and with partner agencies
* Inspect the premises regularly and monitor CCTV
* Maintain a visible presence, engage with residents positively, and observe for wellbeing and risk management
* Monitor high-risk residents, motivate compliance, and manage challenging behaviour
* Report changes in risk or behaviour to relevant managers
* Support residents' sentence plan activities
* Ensure premises are secure overnight and confirm residents’ wellbeing
* Act as a first point of contact out of hours
* Provide accurate information and escalate concerns as needed
* Support health and safety procedures and report incidents
* Conduct safety checks, room searches, and manage residents’ possessions
* Deliver purposeful activities and supervise meals
* Induct residents and manage medication procedures
