Responsibilities
This hybrid role is suited to candidates within commuting distance of Bridgwater or willing to relocate. You will act as the valve engineering specialist supporting safety-classified nuclear plant systems. The role spans design review, construction support, commissioning activities, and technical acceptance.
- Review valve-related design changes, concessions, and technical queries.
- Provide technical oversight across valve design, installation, and testing.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear safety, quality and regulatory requirements.
- Assess supplier documentation, specifications, and engineering justifications.
- Coordinate technical interfaces with contractors, designers and manufacturers.
- Support resolution of complex valve engineering and operational issues.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with approved designs.
- Support commissioning activities and validate valve performance requirements.
- Contribute to technical risk management and lessons learned initiatives.
- Support configuration control and acceptance of engineering modifications.
