The Role
As Head of Corporate Real Estate, you will look after 40 UK sites, including a mix of owned, leased, MOD and third‑party estates. You will lead the estates function at QinetiQ’s Farnborough site, working with cutting‑edge technology and a talented multidisciplinary team.
Daily duties include proactive strategic leadership, detailed estate management, stakeholder liaison and ensuring the efficient use of our property portfolio.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Leverage professional surveying expertise to extract high level insight from complex data, providing a single version of truth for the estate and ensuring decision‑making timelines align with key dates.
* Provide metrics into portfolio strategy and the commercial narrative for leadership decision‑making.
* Deliver portfolio rationalisation and optimisation to maximise utilisation and ROI throughout the property lifecycle.
* Appoint and direct external agents and third‑party providers to manage service delivery (e.g., business rates, valuation, agency for disposals and acquisitions, lease renewal, management lettings).
Essential experience
* Proven track record of delivering professional standards and team structure within a fast‑paced corporate environment.
* Excellent board reporting, persuasive negotiation and high‑stakes presentation skills.
* Ability to leverage data‑analytics tools to drive evidence‑based property decisions.
* Highly developed interpersonal and presentational skills capable of translating technical real estate risks into commercial business opportunities.
Essential qualifications
* MRICS/FRICS qualified with extensive post‑qualification experience in complex commercial portfolios.
* Appropriate degree in estate or property management or a related discipline.
* Chartered Surveyor with substantial post‑qualification experience specialising in commercial asset management.
This role is 37 hours per week, primarily based at the Farnborough site. It is a hybrid role with an average of three days onsite per week.

Eligibility
All applicants must be eligible for BPSS clearance, as a minimum. Several roles may require additional national security vetting.
