The Specialist Support Worker position is crucial in supporting our successful Housing First Service. We are looking for someone who has a natural curiosity, great at building rapport and can demonstrate their willingness and ability to advocate and provide non- judgemental support mixed with enthusiasm and tenaciousness.
Ideally you will have experience supporting clients who are experiencing homelessness who maybe struggling financially and mentally.

Key Responsibilities:
The role of a Specialist Support Worker is an inspirational one and is key to achieving successful outcomes for the people we support. You will be responsible for developing and delivering a high-quality programme of support which promotes client choice and control. This role requires a motivated and dynamic individual who can work as part of a team and provide person centred support in a sensitive and trauma informed manner
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
1. The ability to manage your own caseload, prioritise and have a proactive approach
2. Experience of working with vulnerable people
3. The ability to attend and participate in client’s formal Reviews
4. Knowledge of the Benefits system
5. The ability to delegate and coordinate the work of Assistant Support Workers, ensuring that clients are being offered high-quality support to obtain their own goals
6. The ability to take part in on-call duties
7. Good IT skills and an ability to input data and maintain a database
