Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust, based in Barnet, North London. Rotations on offer include Intermediate Care Services, Unplanned Care (Rapid Response, D2A), Inpatient Rehabilitation, and Inpatient Stroke Rehabilitation. Each rotation lasts 6 months, commencing in April and October.
Responsibilities
Clinical: To undertake occupational therapy assessments for a designated caseload, addressing occupational performance and skills deficits enabling the client in self-maintenance, productivity and leisure; formulate intervention plans to maximise independence and reflect the client’s goals; work independently in hospital, home and community settings; collaborate with other professionals to provide group and individual interventions; prioritise referrals within service standards; identify OT goals as part of the overall care plan; plan and implement individual and/or group interventions using graded activity; monitor and evaluate treatment to measure progress and ensure effectiveness; assess clients in home environments and identify environmental modifications or assistive technology to support independence.
Requirements
The successful post holder will have a BSc/MSc in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration. They should be highly organised with excellent verbal and written communication skills, have evidence of ability to assess OT needs, set goals, and formulate treatment plans in diverse settings. UK driving licence is desirable and access to a vehicle for business purposes preferable. Ability to work 37.5 hours per week across 7 days and across several locations as determined by service need.
