The Part-Time Accountant will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting function within the finance department. This role requires a high level of accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and accounts.
2. Prepare and analyse financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
3. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
4. Reconcile bank statements and ensure all discrepancies are resolved.
5. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial planning.
6. Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
7. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
8. Provide support during internal and external audits.
9. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
10. Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
1. Fully Qualified or Qualified by Experience
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., MS Teams, Excel, SAP, or similar).
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
7. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Hours:
1. Two full days within the business
