Role Purpose
Make sure key funding and government data returns are submitted accurately, on time, and in line with the rules.
Help protect funding and keep the organisation compliant by checking data quality, fixing issues, and supporting audits.
Work across teams to keep records accurate, understand changing guidance, and improve how data is managed.
Role Responsibilities
Produce, check, and submit required data returns, fixing errors before deadlines.
Investigate data issues with internal teams and correct discrepancies to meet funding and regulatory requirements.
Keep up with rule changes, assess the impact, and explain updates clearly to the right people.
Carry out regular data quality checks and reports, then put fixes in place.
Support audits by preparing evidence, answering queries, and making sure records are accurate and compliant.
Work with teams like exams, finance, BI, IT, and compliance to keep achievements, fees, system setup, and core data accurate and up to date.
Essential Requirements
Strong experience with ILR data, funding rules, and data returns, plus experience using MIS or student records systems.
Confident working with large datasets, including checking, analysing, and correcting data.
Good process and reporting skills, with experience improving procedures.
Strong organisation, problem-solving, and attention to detail, with the ability to explain complex info simply.
