Preference will be given to internal Trust staff, as well as 'Priority' and 'At Risk' status including NHS At Risk staff throughout Devon who are able to display recent relevant experience as dictated by the Person Specification.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Monitoring and responding to security threats
* Supporting threat hunting and vulnerability assessments
* Triaging and resolving user requests via the IT Service Desk
* Assisting with compliance tasks like DSPT submissions
* Collaborating with technical teams and external partners
* Helping to improve our cyber security posture across the Trust
* Monitor, analyse, and interpret security alerts and incidents from Trust security systems, including identifying compromised systems, abnormal user behaviour, and missing or outdated security controls (e.g., antivirus not installed or outdated).
* Provide cyber security guidance to D&I technical teams, supporting the identification and remediation of vulnerabilities.
* Escalate critical security issues to relevant UHP D&I cyber security personnel, including actionable recommendations for resolution.
* Ensure timely communication of potential cyber threats to the IT Services Senior Cyber Team.
* Perform regular vulnerability assessments across all networked devices using appropriate tools and techniques and manage identified risks within agreed timeframes or implement suitable technical mitigations.
* Support the preparation and submission of assurance evidence for oversight committees, DSP Toolkit returns, and other audits.
* Collaborate with the cyber security team to prioritise and respond to service requests, investigations, planned maintenance, and ad-hoc information queries in a timely manner.
Other Responsibilities
* Participate in regular performance appraisals to support professional development.
* Complete all required training to maintain role competency, including mandatory courses such as Fire Safety and Manual Handling.
* Promote and maintain a safe working environment in accordance with Trust policies.
* Adhere to Trust Infection Control Policies at all times to minimise the risk of healthcare-associated infections.
