Vision for Education are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant Level 2 for a full-time vacancy at a specialist school in Burnley starting from April 2025. The pay will range from £400-£500 per week, depending on experience.
About The Role
* Support pupils with learning difficulties, often with a statement of Special Educational Needs.
* Be willing to go the extra mile to support young people with special needs.
* Prepare and adapt materials for pupils with learning difficulties and facilitate small group and 1:1 sessions based on their specialized curricula.
About The School
Work within a specialist school in Burnley, supporting young people with barriers to learning and SEND needs. The role involves meeting the holistic needs of pupils under the guidance of the class teacher and senior staff, including working 1:1 with students with SEND and potential challenging behaviors. There are opportunities for this role to become permanent after a qualifying period.
Requirements
* Hold a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
* Prior experience as a TA within schools is desirable.
* Driving license is desirable due to rural locations of some settings.
* Ability to motivate and support pupils to stay on task and complete work.
* Enthusiasm for supporting pupils with SEND.
* Commitment to personal learning and development.
Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding and will conduct thorough checks, including an Enhanced DBS.
Salary
£400 to £500 per week, dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. Minimum requirements include relevant experience working with children or vulnerable adults and a Level 2 TA qualification or equivalent.
