Secondary School - SEN Teaching Assistant
Monday - Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Pay: Competitive rates depending on experience

We are working with a well-regarded Secondary School in Braintree, rated GOOD by Ofsted, that is seeking a caring and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant. This Braintree school is committed to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student is supported to succeed academically, socially and emotionally.

Job Overview:

* This school caters for students aged 11-16.
* Full-time, Monday - Friday SEN Teaching Assistant role.
* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional learning needs.
* Support students with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH and learning difficulties.
* Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement tailored support strategies.
* Help create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment.
* Encourage student confidence, independence and engagement in lessons.
* Support behaviour management and emotional wellbeing across the school day.
* Assist with classroom preparation and differentiated learning activities.

This SEN Teaching Assistant role in Braintree offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and welcoming school environment, with ongoing professional development and the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' lives every day.

What we're looking for:

* Experience working with children or young people with SEN.
* A patient, empathetic and supportive approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
* A proactive and flexible attitude.
* Previous school-based experience is desirable but not essential.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
