Academics are working with a welcoming school in Newcastle-under-Lyme, easily accessible from Stoke-on-Trent, who are seeking a committed teacher to join their team from May half-term. This is a full-time maternity cover, initially running through to Christmas 2026, with potential for extension for the right candidate.
About the Role:
Teaching Dance and Drama across KS3 and KS4
KS5 teaching desirable but not essential
Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons
Full planning, teaching and assessment responsibilities
Track and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Drama/Dance or a related subject (essential)
Have recent experience teaching Dance and/or Drama in UK secondary schools
Be confident teaching KS3 and KS4 (KS5 benefifical)
Demonstrate strong classroom management and behaviour strategies
Be reliable, professional, and able to commit to a long-term placement
Hold (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS
