An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Arabic Language Teacher to join us at our BD8 site in Bradford. Raising Explorers is a unique Ofsted-registered childcare and education centre providing both Islamic and academic education as part of our services.
We are currently looking for a passionate and reliable Arabic teacher to deliver engaging and effective lessons to children aged 5 to 15 using our structured Arabic curriculum and resources.
Responsible for:
Ensuring children receive high-quality Arabic education in line with Raising Explorers' expectations. The teacher will manage and deliver lessons to a group of 18 children, supported by a co-teacher or teaching assistant.
Hours of work options & availability:
* Sunday Only - between the hours of 1:00pm - 2:00pm
Role & Responsibilities:
* Deliver structured and engaging Arabic lessons based on our curriculum
* Inspire students to develop a love for the Arabic language
* Promote positive behaviour and respect within the classroom
* Support students in achieving their language learning goals
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to student progress tracking
* Work in line with Raising Explorers policies, procedures, and safeguarding practices
Qualifications and Skills
Person specification Essential qualities:
* Strong knowledge and fluency in Modern Standard Arabic
* Experience teaching Arabic to children (5–15 years) in a classroom or madrassah setting
* Ability to manage a class and maintain engagement
* Ability to work on own initiative and identify new opportunities.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Self-motivated, organised and professional
* Portray a positive attitude
* UK candidates only
Desirable:
* Completed relevant Islamic or Arabic studies course
* Experience supporting students with mixed abilities
* DBS clearance (or willing to obtain)
