SEN Teaching Assistant (Experienced) Location: Wirral Salary: Competitive, based on experience Contract: Full-time and Permanent About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team and support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with children who present challenging behaviours, and will be confident in implementing strategies to promote positive outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN, including those with complex needs. Assist in managing challenging behaviours using positive behaviour support techniques. Work closely with teachers and SENCO to deliver tailored learning plans. Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Monitor and record pupil progress, reporting to the class teacher and SENCO. Requirements Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or similar role. Strong understanding of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH needs. Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
