Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Sheffield, S10
Pay Rate: £95 – £110 per day (depending on experience)
Start date: Immediate

GSL Education are looking for a compassionate and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work closely with a child in a school in Sheffield. As a 1:1 TA, you’ll have a wonderful opportunity to offer personalised support, enabling a pupil with special educational needs to achieve their full potential within a caring and supportive learning environment.
As a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing direct one-to-one support tailored to the needs of an individual pupil.
* Assisting with learning activities and adapting resources to match the child’s abilities.
* Supporting the pupil’s emotional, social, and behavioural development.
* Liaising with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to monitor progress.
* Encouraging independence and confidence in daily learning tasks.
* Ensuring the pupil feels safe, supported, and included in all school activities.
To be successful as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant, you should:
* Have previous experience supporting children, ideally on a one-to-one basis.
* Be patient, empathetic, and adaptable to changing needs.
* Possess strong communication and organisational skills.
* Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
* A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment over the last 10 years.
