Cast UK are working with a growing business in the Staffordshire area who are looking to identify a talented purchasing professional to join their Purchasing team as a Strategic Buyer.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Manage all purchasing activity for engineering components
* Negotiate contractual agreements and commercial terms, including tooling costs
* Liaise with Production and Engineering to ensure parts are sourced in line with technical specifications
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
* Significant purchasing experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment, including confidence to negotiate and agree contractual terms
* Strong negotiation skills and commercial acumen
* Proven track record in delivering cost savings
* Technical awareness and ideally the ability to read engineering drawings
