Senior Analyst Job Title: Senior Analyst Reporting To: Lead Analyst Division: Consumer Location: Manchester The Division GlobalData Plc, is a premium business intelligence company specialising in industry analysis across multiple industry sectors and we have one main goal - to supply our clients with timely expert analysis on key business issues critical to their market JOB PURPOSE The research team produces a variety of research products, which cover all the main industry verticals. Senior Analysts will be expected to develop their research and analysis skills to allow them to make significant contributions to the core products of the Beverages team. Furthermore, Senior Analysts will be expected to assist with team management tasks such as training, liaise with clients, conduct presentations, and taking part in consultancy projects with high level clients. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Research and analysis: Our beverage intelligence is designed to offer clients a quick and reliable way to retrieve data and forecast information on key industrial and consumer sectors across the world's leading economies. The Senior Analyst will therefore use established research and analysis techniques to locate market data and present future-focused opinion. Produce high quality output: Follow the standards outlined in the process manual. Self-proof all work. Ensure consistent delivery of work according to the pre-determined targets. Present to major stakeholders: Representing GlobalData and presenting at industry conferences, panels, webinars, and virtual conferences. Involvement in product or process improvements: Continually seek improvements in your working practices and processes. Share ideas for product development in team meetings. Increase industry and country knowledge: Monitor major economic and political events that could affect industries within a country. Study articles relating to specific industries in order to build an effective knowledge of any factors relevant to industry dynamics. Help to manage and develop the team: Assist with managing of the team, which would involve aiding, training, and mentorship of junior team members. Responsibility for team production: Ensuring that key deadlines are met across the whole team and tracking performance. SKILLS REQUIRED: Minimum 2:1 degree with applicable skills Good understanding of R&A techniques Good industry and country knowledge Strong written, verbal and graphical skills Ability to critically evaluate own and others' work in a constructive manner. Ability to manage own time and workload effectively. Previous experience of team management/mentorship Familiarity with MS Office applications, especially with PowerPoint and Excel LI-HYBRID LI-UB1
