Job description
Key Responsibilities
1. Clean classrooms, corridors, offices, staff rooms, and communal areas
2. Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors
3. Empty bins and dispose of waste appropriately
4. Clean and sanitise toilets and washroom facilities
5. Wipe down desks, tables, and touchpoints
6. Replenish consumables (soap, paper towels, toilet rolls)
7. Carry out periodic deep cleaning as required
8. Report any maintenance issues, damages, or hazards to the Site Manager
9. Follow health and safety procedures at all times
10. Use cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and in accordance with COSHH regulations
11. Ensure school security procedures are followed when opening/closing areas
Person Specification
Essential Requirements
12. Previous cleaning experience (preferred but not essential)
13. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
14. Good attention to detail
15. Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy
16. Understanding of basic health and safety procedures
17. Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) certificate required
