About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative / Forklift Driver to join our clients team. This role is key to ensuring the efficient handling, storage and distribution of building materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Picking, packing and preparing orders accurately for delivery or customer collection
- Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
- Checking incoming goods against delivery notes and reporting discrepancies
- Storing products in the correct locations within the warehouse and yard
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Assisting customers with collections in a professional and helpful manner
- Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts
- Following all health and safety procedures at all times
Requirements
- Previous warehouse or yard experience, ideally within a builders merchant or similar environment
