Overview
Position: 4th Line Exchange Support Engineer. Location: Basingstoke, full-time onsite with occasional travel to London. Rate: 650pd. Start: ASAP. Duration: 6 months initially with view for extensions. Clearance required: DV.
Role
Work with the 3rd Line team and Engineering teams to provide 4th line Exchange support.
Qualifications
* Good understanding of Exchange 2013 or latest versions.
* Good understanding of Communication LCS / OCS / LYNC.
* Good understanding of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2003/2007/2010 and SharePoint Designer.
* Experience in architectural design, web parts, management and troubleshooting with a focus on planning, deploying, and supporting enterprise SharePoint implementations.
* Experience with Collaboration, Portals, Enterprise Search, Enterprise Content Management, Business Process and Forms, and/or Business Intelligence.
* SharePoint experience including SharePoint Designer workflows, data view/web parts, navigation customization, and some branding customization.
* Good understanding of Active Directory (Forest/Domain Architecture, Replication, Disaster Recovery).
* Good understanding of ISA; Exchange components (Database, OWA, O365, Mail Flow, Public Folders, Free/Busy).
* Understanding of Exchange architecture services on Server Roles Edge, Hub, CAS & Mailbox (Exchange 2007/2010).
* Good understanding of backup applications and backup/restore for Exchange databases and configurations.
* Knowledge of Exchange Gateway products (e.g., Bright mail, IMSS).
* Understanding of MS Cluster on Exchange 2003 and high availability features (CCR, SCC, SCR, LCR).
* Knowledge of collaborating applications (BlackBerry, OCS, UM, etc.).
* Extensive experience with Windows core infrastructure services (Active Directory, DNS/DDNS/WINS, DHCP).
* Working knowledge of RAS/VPN, Web Servers, Clusters, and backup/restore.
* Knowledge of server hardware/RAID, SAN, and backup applications.
* Experience upgrading, migrating, and transitioning Exchange to the latest version.
* Experience with Exchange troubleshooting, monitoring, and tuning tools (e.g., Exchange Best Practice Analyzer, Performance Trouble-shooter Analyzer, MPS Report).
* Demonstrated experience in ITIL best practices methodologies.
