Salary: £30,285 - £34,034 per year dependent on experience
Job purpose/about the role
The Team Leader will assist in providing an effective and efficient service to the public regarding property repairs, maintenance, and upgrades to the council’s housing and non-housing stock by supervising a team of multi-skilled tradespersons.
Seeking an individual with construction knowledge and the ability to manage in-house trades and contractors to ensure the safe and successful delivery of property improvement projects.
Requirements
* Scottish Vocational Qualification (SVQ) in a building trade at SCQF level 5 (SVQ level 2) or equivalent, or other relevant qualifications or site experience.
* Hold a valid UK driving licence
Responsibilities
* Gas heating system installation
* Working with all main building trades
* Knowledge of social housing stock and construction methods used in building them
* Good knowledge of building regulations
* Knowledge of regulations relating to asbestos
* Understanding of current Health and Safety issues, legislation, and statutory procedures
* Knowledge of IT packages, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Word
