Hostel In-Reach Recovery Worker - Thanet & CanterburyLocation: CanterburySalary: £24,000 per annumVacancy Type: PermanentAdvertising End Date: 25 Feb 2026About The RoleWant a role where you can genuinely change lives?We're looking for a Hostel In-Reach Recovery Worker to join our team on a full-time basis (35 hours per week), supporting adults with drug and alcohol needs who are living in supported accommodation hostels across Thanet and Canterbury.You'll work within an integrated healthcare framework, supporting people with high complexity, trauma, and barriers to engagement. With a smaller caseload, you'll be able to offer enhanced, flexible, trauma-informed support to those most at risk of rough sleeping.What you'll be doingDelivering 1:1 and group interventions tailored to individual needsCompleting risk, initial and comprehensive assessments to inform treatment journeysCoordinating care with housing teams, healthcare, primary care and partner agenciesSupporting service users with housing, benefits, training, employment and health accessMotivating clients to engage with services and progress their care plansWorking collaboratively to achieve outcomes and commissioner targetsWhat we're looking forExperience working with substance misuse, complex needs or vulnerable adultsA strong understanding of trauma-informed approachesConfidence working across multi-disciplinary partnershipsAbility to manage caseloads, KPIs and high-quality case recordingA proactive, solution-focused approach and commitment to integrated workingThe role also involvesFlexible working, including some evenings/weekendsOccasional travel across your project cluster (with reasonable notice)Strong focus on safeguarding, quality, safety and continuous improvementAccurate documentation and data capture to evidence outcomesIf you're passionate about recovery, value collaboration, and want the time to deliver meaningful, person-centred support, we'd love to hear from you.About UsWe are The Forward Trust, the social enterprise with charitable status that empowers people to break the often interlinked cycles of crime and addiction to move forward with their lives.
