Automation Engineer (Drives and PLC focussed)

The ideal candidate will have:
* Demonstrable experience with electronic drives and PLC systems
* Knowledge of servo drives and motion control applications (highly advantageous)

The Role
You’ll be part of our technical team, working alongside highly experienced senior engineers.
Our team supports HMK’s full product range and leverages its expertise to deliver solutions for customers - ranging from individual components to complex systems for new production machinery.
Reporting to the Principal Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
* Providing technical support to customers via phone and online tools
* Developing solutions using selection software and collaborating with colleagues
* Configuring and programming PLCs, and commissioning motion control systems
* Liaising with suppliers on technical matters
* Working closely with the applications team to deliver tailored solutions
